The north east region of Brazil is a beautiful place with untouched, deserted beaches yet great biodiversity. It has good weather all year round with an average annual temperature of 27°c (and a regular sea breeze) as it's close to the equator. Wind direction is cross/cross on shore with some places cross off shore.
North East Brazil's weather is generally tropical - with dry winters and humid summers due to the hot sun, therefore strong sunscreen and rash vests are advised to be worn.
The rainy season runs from February to May with a wind speed of around 12 to 20 knots. The dry season runs from June to January and the wind speed is 20 to 35 knots - but in theory the wind gets stronger the further up coast you go. The sun rises first in the whole Americas.
There is an array of activities for non-kitesurfers, such as horse riding, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, wildlife spotting to name just a few. It takes only 8 hours to fly from Europe, with daily direct flights from the main European cities.
With water temperature around 26c all year round, constant wind and over 300 sunny days a year the NE brazil is a perfect place to visit for a kitesurfer.
